Head of Clinical Operations - Germany
Summary:
Medvance - We are currently undergoing rapid growth in Europe and are looking to appoint a clinical operations manager who will be responsible for managing all clinical studies in the German territory reporting to the Director of Global Clinical Operations. This is an exciting opportunity to lead clinical operations and develop a clinical team in Germany.
Roles:
Key Tasks:
- Provide full support to all aspects of clinical research programmes for Medvance clients, ensuring studies are planned, monitored and reported in accordance with Clients objectives and all applicable regulations and guidelines
- Recruitment, management, training and support for staff in Germany.
- Maintain the highest ethical, clinical and scientific standards ensuring both the safety and well being of trial participants.
- Keep abreast of developments in clinical research, specifically in areas of new or changed regulations and guidelines.
- Ensure that the preparation of clinical trial protocols, case report forms, consent documents and all study related documents are in accordance with all ethical and regulatory requirements and meet the needs of Medvance clients.
- Oversee and assist where necessary in ensuring that clients' projects are on time and being managed correctly.
- Assist where necessary in the management of clinical projects being conducted on behalf of Medvance Clients.
- Provide input into strategic planning and budgeting process for Medvance office and provide assistance in the drawing up of proposals for clients
- Take a key role in decision making and communication internally with primary responsibility for Germany
- Planning and developing systems and procedures as appropriate.
- Ensuring the company complies with all the relevant legislation in the Germany by engaging the appropriate advisers as needed.
Requirements:
Experience Clinical Operations Manager/Clinical Project Manager
Over 8 years experience in running medical device clinical studies
Based in Germany
Fluent in German and English
Education:
Nursing qualification or Degree/PhD in Life sciences
